The QN90F gets impressively bright, above 1000 nits in real scenes, but its local dimming performance is a bit of a mess, let down by boxy, grid-like blooming that ruins the look of most dark HDR content. That, coupled with the QN90F’s slow pixel response performance means Samsung’s QN90F is an unfortunate miss for both movies and gaming.
