Rebekah Valentine

Rebekah Valentine has been a reporter with IGN since 2021, where she focuses on investigative reporting and stories about how the games we all love get made. Prior to that, she wrote about the business side of gaming at GamesIndustry.biz, and also has past credits at USGamer, PC Gamer, App Trigger, iMore, Android Central, Wirecutter, and more, as well as numerous podcast appearances. She's the 2020 winner of the GameHERs Journalist of the Year Award and the 2021 NYVGCC winner of the Knickerbocker Award for Journalism. And she's been a finalist in multiple categories for the SoCal Journalism Awards. Rebekah currently lives in Kansas City with her partner and two cats. She has a soft spot for cute and unusual indies, exceptionally bizarre game mechanics, and Nintendo, and likes cooking real food inspired by the fictional dishes in games she loves.
